How does WeTrace work? Which Technologies are used?
To obtain data along the production chain, WeTrace uses widely available browser technology. Most smartphones and tablets can be used to collect data, even without an internet connection. Data are transmitted the next time internet is available.
Central Data Processing
Centrally data are processed in a data warehouse according to standard cleaning and data normalization and integration procedures. Business logic is applied to leverage the hidden information in the data like consistency checks, benchmarking data and others.
Data is forwarded to a BI component containing reports and OLAP functionality, allowing for flexible answers to interactive questions.
These functionalities are rather used in an institutionalized context, but results are also made available through apps and mobile websites on production level and for the final consumer.
